Welcome Message
On behalf of everyone involved in bringing ICN together, welcome. Nutrition science sits at the intersection of so many other fields — public health, medicine, agriculture, culture — and a congress like this is a chance to bring that breadth together in one place for a few days.
Granada has, through its history, been a genuine crossroads of cultures, and that felt like a fitting backdrop for a congress built around exactly that idea: bringing different scientific traditions, career stages, and parts of the world together around a shared interest in nutrition and health.
A congress this size typically brings together plenary lectures from leading voices in the field, dozens of parallel symposia covering specific research areas in depth, dedicated sessions for oral communications and posters from early-career researchers, and a substantial track of sponsored and satellite symposia organized around specific scientific themes.
As the world becomes more interconnected, questions about how nutrition, culture, and public health intersect only become more relevant — which is really the spirit behind ICN’s approach to bringing people together.
We hope you’ll join us, and that Granada leaves as much of an impression on you as it has on everyone who’s helped put this congress together.
