Welcome to Granada

Granada is one of the more distinctive cities to host an international congress, and for visitors attending ICN, it’s worth setting aside some time beyond the conference sessions to actually see it.

Set at the foot of the Sierra Nevada in southern Andalusia, Granada carries centuries of layered history — Moorish, Christian, and Jewish influences are visible throughout the old city, most famously in the Alhambra, but also in the winding streets of the Albaicín quarter and the city’s many smaller monuments.

For congress attendees with limited free time, even a short walk through the old town gives a real sense of the city’s character, and the compact layout of central Granada makes it easy to see a lot without needing a car or extensive planning.

Whether it’s your first time in Andalusia or you’re returning, Granada tends to leave an impression well beyond the conference itself.
